As a NY native, I was able to tune in to Power 105.1 The Breakfast Club with DJ Envy, Angela Yee, and Charlamagne. Lil Kim spoke on why she didn’t put out any music after she was released from jail, her current music career now, her relationship with Scott Storch and how she was really about to marrying him, and of course Nicki Minaj and more. Lil Kim goes back to her roots we all know for the track Keys In The City. For this track she linked up with rapper Young Jeezy for the track and its pretty decent from the previous tracks we’ve heard from her. I think 2012 Kim will slowly make her comeback onto the music game. From performing on the Rip the Runway I feel like she has the potential to make her way back on the scene as long as she stays true to herself.

If you missed it, I was able to tune in last night for sucker free sunday with her and DJ Envy and she gave some insight as to why after she was released out of jail she was unable to release any music. Basically she discussed she was legally barred from releasing any new material after trying to break out of her contract from Track Masters because she was not happy with them.

“Contractually, by the courts, I could not record any music. I wasn’t supposed to put any music out. Technically ‘Black Friday’ was a mixtape, so I was able to get away with that. But technically they could have come after me if I were to put out an album. I couldn’t do it. So, this is something that my fans don’t know, but now you know. Legally I wasn’t allowed or able to do music. And ’til this day I’m not going to say I’m glad that the lawsuit happened with Trackmasters, but it made me more of a business woman.”

It truly is a hit or miss with Kim and today was a hit as she visited BET’s 106& Park to talk her upcoming projects, her new single, memories of BIG and even had the opportunity to judge freestyle friday. As for news on her album, she says that she wants to put a few new singles out to feed her fans and even plans to drop a record with a huge rapper that starts with the letter J.

I guess we all got to wait and see, because I do like her new single “If You Love Me”

As Lil Kim is prepping to release her new album later this year, she has definitely been seen a couple places like BET’s “Rip the Runway” in which will air next week and performs a couple of her throwback hits, to hitting the couch with Sway of MTV. Kim discusses her new music in which she says she is in Kanye West mode. Kim also gives a peak of her latest single released not to long ago “If You Love Me” in which she was questioned if it was geared toward her ex lover Maino who also made a love song allegedly about Kim.

Lil Kim releases a new track that I believe could be in response to her ex beau Maino. He had a track that was about Kim saying “I Still Love You”. However in her new track its titled “If You Love Me’ which basically talks about if you loved her you would make it be known and say it out in public etc. I think the track is pretty decent if she removes all the extra computerized stuff. … As she releases a a new promo pic which was shot by Michael Antonio. Dressed in Christian Loubotins from head to toe that is fresh off the run way, Kim plans to release a new single at the top of the year plus lets us know that she plans to drop an EP later in 2012.

Lil Kim celebrated her birthday in Miami. Celebs like Evelyn Lozada from basketball wives, Dennis Rodman, Floyd Mayweather, and others came through to show Kim some love !!

Monica links up with Missy Elliott once again to release her new single off her upcoming album. The track is called Anything (To Find You) and she decided to get Lil Kim and Rick Ross on the track. The base of the track is taken from Biggie’s Who Shot Ya.
