NY Post Newspaper cartoonist Sean delonas put out a cartoon this morning showing two cops shooting down a Chimpanzee. This relates to the incident on yesterday with a women’s chimp in Connecticut that went crazy and almost killed her neighbor. The cops eventually showed up and shot down the monkey. NY Post now creates the cartoon of it but symbolizes it in a different way, showing in regards to the stimulus bill that Pres. Barack Obama created. Al Sharpton did not approve of this cartoon and here is what he had to say:
The cartoon in today’s New York Post is troubling at best given the historic racist attacks of African-Americans as being synonymous with monkeys. One has to question whether the cartoonist is making a less than casual reference to this when in the cartoon they have police saying after shooting a chimpanzee that “Now they will have to find someone else to write the stimulus bill.”
Being that the stimulus bill has been the first legislative victory of President Barack Obama (the first African American president) and has become synonymous with him it is not a reach to wonder are they inferring that a monkey wrote the last bill?
In my opinion, I don’t approve of the cartoon message. Being a U.S citizen and from NY, I feel they are symbolizing black people as monkeys especially Pres. Obama and showing that they should kill him for the decision that was made. This is such a SHAME!!

It has been one week since the whole story unleashed about Rihanna and Chris Brown. There have been truths, lies, and interviews from different members of the family. But we all know we wanted to hear from the actually people involved: Rihanna & Chris. Well Chris has just released a statement via his spokesperson in regards to the situation:
“Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired. I am seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones and I am committed, with God’s help, to emerging a better person. Much of what has been speculated or reported on blogs and/or reported in the media is wrong. While I would like to be able to talk about this more, until the legal issues are resolved, this is all I can say except that I have not written any messages or made any posts to Facebook, on blogs or any place else. Those posts or writings under my name are frauds.”
I really am looking forward to the truth from their mouths…. b/c like I said there are some many things to this situation and alot is false. Chris is scheduled to be in court on March 5.
MTV will be airing on monday a documentary on Chris Brown and Rihanna’s relationship titled “Love In Trouble” read below:
The news about Chris Brown’s alleged assault on girlfriend Rihanna has clearly touched a nerve with the public. MTV will air “Chris Brown & Rihanna: Love in Trouble” — an in-depth look at the allegations of domestic violence that Brown faces, featuring journalists, industry professionals and an in-studio audience of young fans — on Monday, February 16, at 6 p.m. ET/PT
I think that MTV is taking this too far where they have to do a documentary on it. I feel that its only so much the people they have lined up can say and will say for the fact that Chris hasn’t been to court yet. I feel like the documentary can make things worse…. I could be wrong. But I will surely tune it on Monday.
For all you gospel fans, or if you tuned in last season of BET’s Sunday Best, (Sunday Best is the Gospel version of American Idol) the show is coming back. All I kept hearing were there are auditionsm submit your tape online, and this and that. Well last month they had auditions in LA, Chicago, Atlanta, & D.C. The show welcomes back host Kirk Franklin, and gospel celebrity judges BeBe Winans, and Erica & Tina Campbell of the group Mary Mary. I am looking forward to this season so I will surely tune in as last season was very good. My fav was Tremaine Sellers (he has great vocal range for a male). The second season is to premiere on Sunday March 8 at 9pm.
I have been giving updates everyday involving this situation. Yesterday I mention that Donelle Hawkins Chris’s Ex Stepdad spoke on Access Hollywood & even on TT Torrez radio station talking about how he never hit Chris’s mom and he it was only arguing (basically trying to clear his name). Well according to Chris aunt Christine Brown, who called in to the station after Donelle said that he lied. The only thing he told the truth on was that he did discipline Chris before. The radio personality TT Torrez from IPower 92.1 (in richmond, VA) did confirm on the radio that he did lie because she had court documents to prove domestic violence did occur, and that one of Donelle’s friend called behind the scenes to confirm there was domestic abuse, he saw it, and that when Chris’s mom wanted to divorce him Donelle tried to shoot himself in the head. (I guess thats how he is blind today). There were claims that he wasn’t speaking to other media info before Access Hollywood, and the aunt’s reason was because she guaranteed they were paying him for his story(which he denies it).

Every morning the news continues with releases of more on the Rihanna and Chris Brown situation. First it was reported on the news and in the news paper that Jay-z is now furious with the whole situation. He is angry that Chris even laid a hand on Rihanna. Jay is known for signing Rih and making her into a superstar especially with the smash hit “Umbrella”. News said that close friends to Jay said he went crazy once he heard the news. There has been no confirmation even if he has made any comments on the situation, just that he reacted out of the norm. Photo above is him leaving LA on a private jet yesterday.

Chris Brown’s step-father Donelle Hawkins speaks out. He interviews with Access Hollywood and talks about how he did have arguments with Chris’s mom but there was no domestic violence involved ever in the relationship. His step-father admitted he did discipline Chris one time around age 11 or 12 and that was for disrespecting and cursing at his mother.
“ Chris blaming me for his anger or whatever he’s dealing with….truly he’s using it as a scapegoat. Just like we as christians or general people use the devil as an excuse…the devil made me do it because he choses not to accept the responsibility for his own actions which he has never had to do, he’s using me as a scapegoat”.

I am truly starting to feel bad now for Chris. Things just continue to get worse for this 19 year old. According to USmagazine.com, It has been announced that Chris Brown’s ad for “got milk” that I actually posted a couple of months ago will be ending this week.
“The Milk Mustache campaign is taking the allegations against Chris Brown very seriously,” “We are very proud and protective of the image of the Milk Mustache campaign and the responsible message it sends to teens. Mr. Brown’s ad was launched last fall and is scheduled to end this week.”
First it was Wrigley’s suspension, now Body by Milk is following in the same footsteps….smh.
