According to Daily Finance, they are reporting that VIBE Magazine, a hip hop & R&B music and lifestyle magazine created back in 1993 by Quincy Jones has shut down. Now I’m unsure what definitely happened, but I am assuming the financial woes just like of King Magazine has taken its course and VIBE will no longer be around. According to the news source, the CFO Angela Zucconi commented and said:

“We will be making a statement by the end of the day. That’s all I can say at this point.”

I shall keep you posted on this situation…..

On the Quincy Jones note, the famous composer, conductor and producer most known for Michael Jackson’s Thriller posted a message on his website the day Michael passed:

“I am absolutely devastated at this tragic and unexpected news. For Michael to be taken away from us so suddenly at such a young age, I just don’t have the words. Divinity brought our souls together on The Wiz and allowed us to do what we were able to throughout the 80’s. To this day, the music we created together on “Off The Wall,” “Thriller” and “Bad” is played in every corner of the world and the reason for that is because he had it all…talent, grace, professionalism and dedication. He was the consummate entertainer and his contributions and legacy will be felt upon the world forever. I’ve lost my little brother today, and part of my soul has gone with him.”

Time Magazine had a special issue with Michael on the cover to commemorate his life and success as the entertainer we knew and loved. This magazine costs $5.99 and inside will feature special commentary from famous celebs in the music, sports, and political industry.

Madame Tussauds had a special memorial for MJ (though the statue looks like a female.) The event was on June 26 in Vegas.

TMZ States:

We’ve just learned Michael Jackson has died. He was 50.

Michael suffered a cardiac arrest earlier this afternoon at his Holmby Hills home and paramedics were unable to revive him. We’re told when paramedics arrived Jackson had no pulse and they never got a pulse back.

A source tells us Jackson was dead when paramedics arrived. A cardiologist at UCLA tells TMZ Jackson died of cardiac arrest.

Once at the hospital, the staff tried to resuscitate him but he was completely unresponsive.

A source inside the hospital told us there was “absolute chaos” after Jackson arrrived. People who were with the singer were screaming, “You’ve got to save him! You’ve got to save him!”

We’re told one of the staff members at Jackson’s home called 911.

La Toya ran in the hospital sobbing after Jackson was pronounced dead.

Michael is survived by three children: Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr., Paris Michael Katherine Jackson and Prince “Blanket” Michael Jackson II.

A couple of months ago, Rihanna was pulled from her Cover Girl ad because of the controversy surrounding her and the Chris Brown situation. Well it seems like after the whole court deal was settled… In case you don’t know Chris Brown plead guilty to one of the crimes and is on 5 yrs probation, has to see his probation officer every 3 mths and has to serve 150 days of community Labor  along with staying away from Rihanna. It has been reported that he is now a convicted felon (duh!) so if he violates his probation, he will serve up to 4 yrs in prison. I guess we all knew he was gonna get off anyways. But back to what I was saying, after this was settled in the courtroom on Monday, it seems like Cover Girl gave Rihanna another chance and reinstated her Ad. TMZ is reporting that the latest ads read: “Turn Up The Light In Your Eyes”. Check out a snippet of her in the courtroom. FYI.. I thought there were no cameras in the courtroom?? lol

So I am following Perez Hilton on twitter and apparently a couple of hours ago he says he was assaulted by Will.I.Am of the Black Eye Peas. Here is twitter frantics:

I’m in shock. I need the police ASAP. Please come to the SoHo Metropolitan Hotel now. Please.

I was assaulted by Will.I.Am of the Black Eyed Peas and his security guards. I am bleeding. Please, I need to file a police report. No joke.

So there you have it,  he said he was assaulted by him and now its in the hands of the authorities….hmmm.

It has been reported that a BadBoy Rep has been suspended without pay, due to the Cassie interview with Charlamagne. He previously interviewed her and he tore her down, even had callers calling in and they saying they didn’t remember her. SMH well I guess Diddy got angry over it and suspended the Rep for sitting in on the interview and not defending Cassie in anyway…. what can I say? the truth hurts sometimes.

With all the drama in Kelis‘s life right now she decided to put it aside to be on the red carpet at the 8th Annual Four Seasons of Hope Gala at Cipriani’s last night. MTV obtained papers that Kelis filed about Nas to see how much he is really worth ever since Kelis spoke out on being broke. Here is what MTV is reporting:

The paperwork alleges Nas signed an $11 million recording contract with Def Jam and is co-owner of touring company, Gorilla Union. The documents state Nas also pays for five homes, three for the couple in Los Angeles, New York and Georgia, and one for his family in New York and her family in the Dominican Republic. In addition to business ventures and property, the filings suggest Nas owns a number of luxury items, including a Rolls Royce Phantom, a Maybach, a Ferrari and a full-time driver in New York.

According to the filing, the married couple maintained separate bank accounts and filed separate tax returns.

A source who requested anonymity told MTV News that Kelis has attempted to reach Nas directly and via her attorney, but both routes have been unsuccessful.

On another note, after the filming of Drake’s Best I Ever Had directed by Kanye West, Kanye and Drake went out in the town to hang out. On their arms were Amber Rose who is STILL with Kanye (so all the stories of the breakup were false.)  and on Drake’s arm was Amber’s sister. Drake is just sharing the love…lol.

Well we’ve all seen the pics of Mel B and her crazy cut, and toned body. I was saying to my friends its so crazy she puts her hubby to shame. Well Mel B decided to shed some light on the secret to her fabulous body to Grazia Magazine:

“I’m honestly not body-obsessed – I can’t be with three kids and a husband. My husband likes my muscles, but then he’s seen me every which way over the past eight years – including when I put on 42lbs after my last pregnancy and he always loves my body. In fact, on top of all my exercise , I have sex with him five times a day – maybe that has something to do with it. I have to admit, I’m a nymphomaniac with him. It’s sexercise!”

Thomas Beatie which is a trasgender man, gave birth to his second child on Tuesday morning. ABC’s 20/20 reports that Thomas said

“It was a natural child birth”

Beatie and his wife Nancy have not yet decided on the boy’s name.

Beatie’s wife will be breastfeeding their son, as she did with their daughter, Susan, who was born last June, according to 20/20.

Beatie announced last November that he was expecting his second child, telling Barbara Walters that he did not go back on the male hormone testosterone after his daughter was born so he could have another baby.

“I feel good,” Beatie said at the time.

He said his pregnancy was a “human desire” and that as a person he has “the right to have my own biological child.”
