Trina wanted to revamp her style to go along with her new route of music instead of just Hip Hop. She released a new track which she also performed on the June Ambrose show if you tuned in to VH1 on last night. The track is called Outer Space and its more of electro pop track in which she samples a piece of Gloria Gaynor’s I will Survive. Not really feeling the whole new look for Trina between the fashion and the music. I feel like too many people are jumping on this pop wave to gain more crossover. I don’t see country and rock artist doing that so I feel why should we?? Even though it is not Nikki Minaj, I feel like she is following that route minus the wardrobe. Take a listen.
Lil Kim goes back to her roots we all know for the track Keys In The City. For this track she linked up with rapper Young Jeezy for the track and its pretty decent from the previous tracks we’ve heard from her. I think 2012 Kim will slowly make her comeback onto the music game. From performing on the Rip the Runway I feel like she has the potential to make her way back on the scene as long as she stays true to herself.
If you missed it, I was able to tune in last night for sucker free sunday with her and DJ Envy and she gave some insight as to why after she was released out of jail she was unable to release any music. Basically she discussed she was legally barred from releasing any new material after trying to break out of her contract from Track Masters because she was not happy with them.
“Contractually, by the courts, I could not record any music. I wasn’t supposed to put any music out. Technically ‘Black Friday’ was a mixtape, so I was able to get away with that. But technically they could have come after me if I were to put out an album. I couldn’t do it. So, this is something that my fans don’t know, but now you know. Legally I wasn’t allowed or able to do music. And ’til this day I’m not going to say I’m glad that the lawsuit happened with Trackmasters, but it made me more of a business woman.”
With all the buzz surrounding the Harlem based female rapper Azealia Banks its only right she drops a new single that will be released off her upcoming EP. The name of the track is called F*ck Up The Fun. Its an uptempo track where basically you have to really listen to catch what she is trying to say. Not comparing, but she does remind me of the throw back Nicki towards the end of the track where she throws in her ego and talks madd trash.
Y’all still on myspace on youtube trying to get your video views up to a million, like come yall b*tches are not f*cking with me.
Nicki is in full gear, and she is releasing new tracks from her upcoming album Pink Friday:Roman Reloaded. Today Nicki relased a record called “Beez In The Trap” ft. 2 Chainz, and right after released Right By My Side ft. Chris Brown. I love both songs so far, hopefully the album is even better!
Instead of an interview for 2012 which will NEVER come, Chris Brown decided to put all his feelings out on the table from his abusive childhood, incident with Rihanna, up until his life now all on one track titled “How I Feel”.
Finally Nicki Minaj goes back to her real rapping roots where she recently dropped a track featuring Lil Wayne called Roman Reloaded. The only thing that’s annoying is with the rappers in general is really drying out all the analogies in their rapping. Can people rap without that? I think there are other ways in getting your point across with out a “it’s going down… basement!” But anyways at least I can tolerate this track.
Busta Rhymes “new Young Money” artist released his video for his latest and intense track called “Why Stop Now” featuring C Breezy. I called this track intense because the video gives off an intense feel as well as the chorus !!!
Chris Brown released his video for his latest single “Turn Up The Music“, and I must say I love, love, love this song, and the video just adds to it, besides the fact that I love to dance myself !!!
