Q of 112 does his rendition of Beyonce’s 1+1 off her upcoming album 4. I think for a male version he did a good job sounds more emotional and more personally connected than Beyonce’s version. He also kind of sounds like a younger version of Brian McKnight you think??
I wonder what Q and the rest of the fellas of 112 have been doing??
More music continues to leak from Beyonce’s upcoming album “4″ last month the entire album leaked, and now tracks from the deluxe album are leaking left and right. Just a few days ago I posted “Schoolin Life” which was written by The Dream. Now here is another track off the deluxe album titled Lay Up Under Me which was penned by writer/artist Sean Garrett.
What’s interesting about this was Lay Up Under Me was originally Sean Garrett’s song which featured on his 2008 debut album Turbo 919. Why did he decide to give it to Beyonce to cover 3 years later? No clue but check it out below.
Beyonce – Lay Up Under Me
Just in case you never heard Sean Garrett’s version, take a listen.
This week’s flashback Friday I decided to do the hit track Down 4 U with Ja Rule, Vita, Charlie Baltimore and Ashanti. This use to be one of my favorite songs during the summer back in 2004. And Bobbi and Whitney cracked me up in the video when they were on the beach and Whitney was trying to act all tough in the video.
I’ll be honest, I haven’t been really following Jennifer Hudson’s music career since she just dropped her second studio new album “I Remember Me”. Most of the time you hear of J Hud is her weight loss success stories, her son, movie roles more so than her music. However this video caught my attention after peeping Jennifer actually doing a little bit of dance moves in the video as well as place a few notes on the piano. The video was directed by Diane Martel.
It’s about time they ended this unnecessary feud. After a video was posted on World Star Hip Hop showing Chris Brown’s friends chasing Frank Ocean down the street in a car yelling “Take The Fade” things became from bad to worse. It was only a matter of time before it really turned physical so thats when all three of the artists decided to let it go.
While Beyonce covers the latest issue of Essence Magazine, we got a chance to peep some pics from the photoshoot. More of the southern cowboy comfort zone.
