A woman name Brianna was on the Fox news talking about how her weave is why she is still alive today. Apparently her boyfriend was trying to kill her after she didn’t love him and didn’t want to be with him anymore. He shot her in the head but her weave caught the bullet…. crazy.

Canadian rapper Drake, also known as Lil Wayne’s protege and he played on Canadian show Degrassi… for all those who watched Noggin. He has been rapping for a while, he put out a track with Trey Songz a while back and how he plans on putting out a mixtape title So Far Gone. He is really cute in person, he was at the same club I was at and actually he’s very talented(had to add that tidbit in lol) and I think he will go far. He has done a track with Lil Wayne called Ransom. and he even has Omarion on the interlude which I posted below. It’s called Bria’s Interlude.

Singer Shontelle, native of Barbados has graced the cover of LIME. I never heard of it, but its because its a caribbean magazine. It’s and Inflight Magazine for LIAT which is a popular Caribbean Airline. She talks about how tough the music industry is and its now what everyone thinks.
“This industry looks very glamorous on the outside and we see many smiles and perfection, but there is a lot that goes into painting that pretty picture. I was in Cadets, a very physically – and mentally – oriented sub-military organisation. I have had all kinds of jobs, have been on all kind of sports teams and I’ve been through school at all levels. I think I can safely say none of those things, not even altogether, can nearly match up to how difficult and challenging entertainment has been for me.”
She also mentions how she looks forward to a successful year and working on her sophmore album. If you haven’t heard of Shontelle, she is known for the song T-shirt.
Lil Wayne’s first rock album titled Rebirth has been pushed back to a later date. Instead of April 7th the album will be released on May 19. The first single from the album “prom queen” has been shot already and should be released out soon. I feel like Lil Wayne has millions of albums, he plans on putting out The Carter IV, he’s doing an album with T-Pain, The Hot Boys reunion (didn’t even know he was planning that) and this Rock Album. All I can say is Wayne you sure are grinding. Lil Wayne even plans on relaunching the I Am Music tour with T-Pain, Keri Hilson, Gym Class Heroes, and Gorilla Zoe.

Ja Rule is trying to get back on the map with a new album. He claims that he won’t be telling people the date so “we” (you he means the bloggers) won’t be reporting that his album got pushed back and what not…. Maybe it is getting pushed back. He also plans on putting out his own Jewelry line. I guess in the video clip where they make the skull move its mouth is part of Ja’s line… who knows.
There was a great turnout for the second annual Essence Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon that was held at the Beverly Hills Hotel in California on yesterday. From Holly Robinson Peete, to Sanaa Lathan, Taraji Henson, and Halle Berry. They all looked great except for Laila Ali who basically wore Jeans. Is it me or does Tia Mowry look a little pregnant…hmmm?

Tyler Perry was on power 105.1 and he talked about how he plans on a doing a movie with Jennifer Hudson. Tyler made a movie especially for her and planned on filming soon, however that will be pushed back for the fact that she will be going on tour. Also he announced that he will be making a Why Did I Get Married 2. Will it be the same characters?? I don’t know but all I know is that the first one was good so I will be see the second one. Don’t forget to go out and go see Madea Goes to Jail… I will be seeing it tonight.
